Product Description
Light pink bud heather
Subtle, delicate, and at the same time distinctive – common bud heather in a light, powder pink shade is an excellent choice for those who look for harmony and romance in the garden. The variety delights with its delicate colour while at the same time surprising with durability, which is typical for bud heather varieties. The flowers throughout the whole season, from August until late autumn, remain in the form of closed buds, thanks to which they keep their decorative qualities for a long period.
Characteristics of powder pink heather
The plant grows in a compact, cushion-like habit reaching a maximum height of 40cm. Although the plant is small in size, it attracts attention throughout the whole year. During the flowering season it decorates the garden with light pink buds, which remain closed from August until November, thanks to which they do not fade and do not lose their charm even in unfavourable weather. Rain, wind and cold are no problem for this plant. Outside the season the plant still decorates the garden thanks to its evergreen leaves. Bud heather, due to its compact habit and decorative appearance throughout the whole year, is very suitable both for garden plantings and for growing in containers or boxes on balconies.
Plant easy to grow
Light pink bud heather is a plant that does not require complicated care, therefore even people taking their first steps in gardening can manage it. Only the basic needs of heather plants should be met:
- Position - sunny, possibly slightly partially shaded. A greater amount of light will allow obtaining a more intense colour.
- Soil acidic (pH 3.5–5.5), light and permeable. Ready-made soil for heathers works perfectly or your own mixture with acidic peat.
- Drainage - a required element of growing in pots, which protects plants from rotting of the root system.
- Watering - moderate, preferably with soft water. The soil should be moist, but not wet.
- Pruning - every year at the turn of March and April we shorten the shoots by about 1/3 of their length, which stimulates branching and guarantees even flowering in the next season.
- Wintering - the plant is resistant to frost, however it is worth mulching the soil and covering the pots for winter with agrotextile.
Romantic accent in the garden
Light pink heather thanks to its delicacy, discreetly attracts the attention of all garden guests. It will work perfectly in arrangements in romantic, rustic and boho style. It is worth combining it with natural elements such as wood or stones. The delicate colour adds cosiness to every space. This variety is an ideal choice for people who value delicacy, simplicity and natural beauty. If you are looking for a plant that will not only decorate the space, but will also be easy to care for and extremely durable – Heather seedlings with powder-pink buds will meet all expectations.
