Common Heather Tricolor Trio Mix - a composition for the undecided
Common Heather Tricolor Trio is a composition of carefully selected bud-blooming heathers in different colours. This set was created for lovers of natural beauty and diversity in the garden, as well as for everyone who cannot choose that one perfect colour. Tricolor Mix allows you to quickly and conveniently achieve the effect of a colourful heather garden – even in a small space such as a balcony, terrace or windowsill.
Plant characteristics
It is a combination of three bud-blooming varieties whose flowers do not fully open, remaining in the form of buds and retaining their intense colour for many weeks. Tricolor Mix is an ideal decoration for the entire autumn, resistant to wind, rain and the first frosts. Heather plants Tricolor have a compact, spherical habit and grow to approximately 25–35 cm in height. Each plant is independent, but planted close together they create an amazing effect, as the shoots of the plants gently intermingle, giving a subtle effect. Heather leaves are small, needle-like and glossy - and most importantly - evergreen, thanks to which the plants retain their decorative qualities throughout the year.
Growing and caring for the plant set
The plants have been selected to match each other so that their cultivation does not cause anyone any problems. The Trio Mix set only requires following a few simple rules, and in return it will reward you with long flowering and a beautiful appearance throughout the year.
- Position - should be sunny, allowing the plants to achieve the most intense colour. When growing the plants in partial shade, it should be remembered that their shade may become muted.
- Soil - acidic, light and well-drained. Ready-made substrate for heather plants can be used, or your own mixture using acidic peat.
- Watering - the substrate should remain constantly moist, but not waterlogged. Heathers react poorly both to overwatering and drying out. When growing in pots, remember to provide a drainage layer that will allow excess water to drain properly.
- Pruning - every year, at the turn of March and April, the heather shoots should be shortened by 1/3 of their length. This treatment will stimulate the plant to branch and ensure abundant flowering.
A set that fits into every garden
If you are looking for a plant with interesting colouring or cannot decide on one specific variety - the Trio set was created just for you. Easy care and undemanding growing conditions mean that with little effort, the heather will reward you with a beautiful appearance throughout the year. It is often chosen as a table decoration on the terrace, for autumn arrangements and colourful heather gardens.
