An old variety rediscovered! The history of this variety goes back 100 years. The raspberry-type strawberry is extremely similar to the wild strawberry, woodland strawberry and raspberry. It appears in the form of very small round fruits with a deep dark red colour and a delicate, petite shape. The taste and aroma of the small berries also give a wonderful wild-strawberry-like impression. The raspberry-type strawberry has a delicate fruity acidity, which gives it a sweet flavour. Strawberry specialists appreciate this variety because you cannot buy it in a shop, which makes it an exclusive fruit. Due to its very soft skin, the strawberry is not suitable for storage. Therefore, the fruits of this strawberry are ideal for direct consumption.

What are FRIGO strawberry plants?

Frigo – this is a technology for producing strawberry plants. The digging of strawberry plants takes place at the end of autumn or the beginning of winter, right after the end of the growing season. Then they are sorted according to their grade, cleaned of old leaves, protected against grey mould and packed into boxes. Frigo strawberry plants are stored in special chambers at a temperature from -1.5°C to –3°C until shipment. Plants stored in such conditions, after removal from the cold room and planting in the soil, grow quickly and after approx. 4–6 weeks produce the first fruits. They are ideal for both beginners and advanced growers.
