The Honeoye strawberry is one of the tastiest and most popular strawberry varieties in the world and has been for decades. It is easy to grow and is great for both large-scale growers and home gardeners. From Honeoye strawberry plants you can expect very high yields. The large, firm berries are easy to pick over a long fruiting period. This variety is extremely frost-tolerant and can thrive even in regions with very low temperatures. The Honeoye strawberry originates from the Cornell Research Station in Geneva, New York, and has been a top variety for over 30 years. It is a cross between Vibrant and Holiday. Optimal flavour is achieved when this variety is grown in medium to light soil. Honeoye is a vigorous plant but is not resistant to soil diseases. It remains our best-selling early-season and mid-season variety.

What are FRIGO strawberry plants?

Frigo – this is a technology for producing strawberry plants. The digging of strawberry plants takes place at the end of autumn or the beginning of winter, right after the end of the growing season. Then they are sorted according to their grade, cleaned of old leaves, protected against grey mould and packed into boxes. Frigo strawberry plants are stored in special chambers at a temperature from -1.5°C to –3°C until shipment. Plants stored in such conditions, after removal from the cold room and planting in the soil, grow quickly and after approx. 4–6 weeks produce the first fruits. They are ideal for both beginners and advanced growers.
