The elongated berries have soft flesh and a very sweet taste with low acidity. At the beginning of the harvest the fruits are large, later they become smaller, with a dark red colour. The variety is highly resistant to frost, drought, powdery mildew, root diseases and nematodes. The fruits of this variety are perfect for fresh consumption, but can also be used for preserves such as jams, jellies or compotes. Due to their delicate and less durable fruits, they are not popular in commercial sales, which is why every gardener who loves strawberries should have this variety in their garden.

What are FRIGO strawberry plants?

Frigo – this is a technology for producing strawberry plants. The digging of strawberry plants takes place at the end of autumn or the beginning of winter, right after the end of the growing season. Then they are sorted according to their grade, cleaned of old leaves, protected against grey mould and packed into boxes. Frigo strawberry plants are stored in special chambers at a temperature from -1.5°C to –3°C until shipment. Plants stored in such conditions, after removal from the cold room and planting in the soil, grow quickly and after approx. 4–6 weeks produce the first fruits. They are ideal for both beginners and advanced growers.
