Ostara Strawberry

Ostara strawberry plants, also known as everbearing strawberries, are one of the earliest fruiting varieties, producing sweet, bright red berries. It is a popular, juicy spring strawberry that continues fruiting from mid-July until the first frosts. The cone-shaped fruits are medium-sized, bright red, firm, and resemble wild strawberries in flavour.

This spreading strawberry can be grown in raised beds, hanging baskets, or trained to climb, making it a versatile fruit plant suitable for gardens of any size.

To ensure good harvests, Ostara strawberry plants should be watered and fed during the growing season, and after harvesting, old leaves and unwanted runners should be removed. Replace plants every three years.

What are FRIGO strawberry plants?

Frigo – this is a technology for producing strawberry plants. The digging of strawberry plants takes place at the end of autumn or the beginning of winter, right after the end of the growing season. Then they are sorted according to their grade, cleaned of old leaves, protected against grey mould and packed into boxes. Frigo strawberry plants are stored in special chambers at a temperature from -1.5°C to –3°C until shipment. Plants stored in such conditions, after removal from the cold room and planting in the soil, grow quickly and after approx. 4–6 weeks produce the first fruits. They are ideal for both beginners and advanced growers.
